Book Binge

**Most of these books can be purchased on Thriftbooks.com. If you purchase any of these books through my affiliate link, which can be found here or by clicking on the title of a specific book, I will receive a small commission for every book that you purchase. I have used Thriftbooks.com to purchase a number of books and have had no problems, their prices are hard to beat and their customer service is wonderful.

Guys, I did it again. TWICE. I went to 2nd and Charles and I bought more books. But, I promise you, this is the last book purchase for awhile. I have a special project in the works that I'm saving for.

Tuesday

Anyway, I went to 2nd and Charles last Tuesday with Jaysen to sell back some books that I was getting rid of (see, I'm getting rid of books, too!) However, I came out of the store with one book and one audio book. The audio book wasn't for me, it was a gift!! Nevertheless, I felt pretty successful since I managed to sell back a decent amount of books and get somewhere around $13 in store credit!

I bought this edition of Lost in a Good Book for $5.50; I already owned this book but I've been trying to collect them in these fun covers. In addition to this book, I bought a Lemony Snicket audiobook for my sister, Julia. That book was around $6.50, so I believe I spent a total of $12.

On my way out, I found these books in the 'Free' bin. I don't own a copy of Dracula and I've been wanting to read it. Why not pick up a free copy! Then I found this beautiful old copy of David Copperfield. I haven't been too interested in reading David Copperfield but I love the history that the book holds.

Saturday

The next time I went to 2nd and Charles was on Saturday. I bought a few more books on that trip, but I only spent $1.83. Score!! I also sold back books for somewhere around $10 store credit. Which allowed me to buy 4 books, 2 of which were $8-$10, for less than $2. On Saturday I brought Julia with me, as she's been dying to go. She didn't end up buying any books herself, though.

The first book that I picked up on Saturday, I knew I had to get. I already have an old copy of this book as well as a Puffin's Classic version. However, when I saw the full page drawings and little marginal drawings, I couldn't resist. I love this book and all I want to do is stare at it. This copy was $8.75, I believe, which is a little bit expensive for 2nd and Charles but I think that it was worth it (especially since I had store credit).

On Tuesday, I saw these books on clearance for $2.25 each but passed them up. When I went back on Saturday, I grabbed them. I love these books and when I read them I borrowed them from a friend. I've been wanting copies of my own, though.

This book!! I've been eyeing this book ever since I saw the movie a year or so back. The book is typically close to $20, though. When I saw it at 2nd and Charles for $12.75, I grabbed it up. What draws me in the most is the format. A large portion of the story is told through full page drawings. It's stunning!

 Extra

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

A few weeks ago I picked up Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I've been getting into listening to audiobooks while driving. I saw this audiobook on Paperback Swap and decided that this would be my next read....or listen. Currently, I'm listening to Sisterhood Everlasting by Ann Brashares.

So there's my last major book-buying-binge for a while, hopefully. Keep me accountable, guys! Have you read any of these books? Let me know! Also, what are your thoughts on audiobooks? Any good ones that I should look into?
